I’ve pulled together a quick list of What’s Happening Healthy Here – (in and around) where you live. Get involved, try something new, meet new friends and get moving! It’s all healthy.

Here’s what’s happening: 

Congratulations to all our Marathon Sports Winter Warriors! Way to move it every day outside for the month of January.

February is GO RED FOR WOMEN! Go Red for Women is the American Heart Association’s national movement to end heart disease and stroke in women. Know your risks and share with friends.  

Congratulations Yogaworks! (Chestnut Hill, MA) Join Yogaworks for their grand opening this weekend. Kick off your weekend with Free Hip Hop Yoga with Live DJ Sprino and Kaitlin Mcguire tonight 5:45pm-7:15pm. Sweat with Your Sweetie!The Bar Method Wellesley Shake, Tuck and Sweat with your Sweetie! Bring your lover, brother, father or friend for a fun class followed by beer and bubbly with The Bar Method Wellelsey Team. Wednesday, February 15th 7:00 p.m.

Cupid Undie Run – Boston, MA February 18th – That’s right: party, run (a mile-ish, and at your own pace), party—all in benefit of Children’s Tumor Foundation, and all to #EndNF. Cheering on our friends that are running in other locations in their undies too! Learn more here!

Metro West Jiu Jitsu and Self Defense Training – First Fridays – “First Friday” is a specialized, women’s-only training event. I was hoping to go this month but may need to pull it together for March. Want to join me? Send me an email: It will be offered on the first Friday of every month, so you can plan ahead! The classes are taught by Sensei Allison Manzella and accompanied by other certified female instructors. This event is FREE for all women interested in learning about Self-Defense and Jiu Jitsu. Both novice and experienced practitioners are welcome to join. Please feel free to bring female family and friends to the class. Any female over the age of 14 is welcome!

Exhibit A Brewing Run w/Saucony –  February 27th hosted by Marathon Sports Wellesley  Join Exhibit A Brewery to celebrate the launch of the Saucony Kinvara! This shoe officially launches on 3/1, so you’ll be one of the first runners to get your feet into them and take them for a run. Head out for a fun run and then enjoy some of Exhibit A’s fantastic beers. There will be raffles and fun for all – don’t miss this awesome event!

Wellesley Wellness Retreat is back for a 2nd year! Saturday, March 4th 8:00am-3:30pm A relaxing day for local women to focus on self-care . Check out the schedule and list of local experts and contributors. Grab your friends and come away refreshed and refocused!
